CAMBODIA

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will push for export of quality and sanitary and phytosanitary products to the People’s Republic of China. The note was highlighted by Minister Dith Tina during a meeting with a group of experts from the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs here in Phnom Penh. LAO PDR

Residents of Vientiane can be assured of a better water supply following support from the Hungarian government for the Dongbang Water Treatment Plant Phase II Expansion Project, which has the capacity to produce an extra 24,000 cubic metres of water per day. (Vientiane Times)

The Japanese government has provided over 800 million yen for the clearance of unexploded ordnance in three southern provinces of Laos, according to the Paxason newspaper. (Vientiane Times)

MYANMAR

Swedish-Finnish engineering services supplier AFRY has withdrawn from Myanmar’s hydropower projects, citing the junta’s human rights abuses. The business cited last month’s UN report recommended that firms operating in Myanmar should study the junta’s rights record. (Irrawaddy)

VIET NAM

The Ministry of Planning and Investment and the US Agency for International Development have launched the first official Yellow Pages for Digital Transformation Providers. (Viet Nam News)
