CAMBODIA

Two new investment projects worth over $10 million have been approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia. The investment projects involve establishing a garment factory and a packaging factory, creating over 2,900 jobs. (Khmer Times)

Cambodia is expected to attract 4 million international tourists in 2023, including 1million Chinese tourists. (Khmer Times)

LAO PDR

The purchase and sale of foreign currencies between individuals and legal entities is illegal and is prohibited, with only commercial banks authorised to trade in foreign currencies, the central bank has warned. (Vientiane Times)

Laos has called for member states of the UN to promote multilateralism in addressing current global challenges, which range from economic to environmental difficulties and armed conflicts, through peaceful means. (Vientiane Times)

VIET NAM

The growth of the number of new projects was much higher than that of investment capital, which demonstrated that small and medium-sized foreign investors continued to believe in the country’s investment environment, the FIA has said. (Viet Nam News)
