Currently operating flights only to Kunming, Lao Airlines is planning to launch five new flights from Vientiane Capital to China, the deputy director of Lao Airlines, Mr. Saleum Tayalath told the Laotian Times. MYANMAR
- The Friendship Bridge linking Thailand and Myanmar reopens tomorrow, much to the delight of eager traders who have waited three years for the resumption of border trade stalled by the Covid-19 pandemic. (Bangkok Post)
- China opened three border gates to Myanmar on 8 January, but Myanmar refused to open the gates on its side of the border, despite announcing that it would. (Mizzima)
