Children in the East Asia and Pacific, particularly in Cambodia, are facing a heightened risk from multiple climate disasters, as highlighted by UNICEF. Compared to their grandparents, the current generation of children in the region are enduring six times more climate-related shocks, eroding their ability to cope and exacerbating inequality. The total inflows of foreign investment in Việt Nam this year to May 20, including new and added investment and contributions for share purchases by foreign investors, reached nearly US$10.86 billion, the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported. Việt Nam is witnessing a slowdown in trade as the global economy is edging closer to a recession. The country’s total imports and exports stood at US$230.6 billion by mid-May, down 15.4 per cent against the same period in 2022.
