CAMBODIA

Prime Minister Hun Sen has called for all employers, employees / workers and investors to make factories peaceful communities to contribute to national development. The Cambodian Premier made the appeal while holding a get-together with some 19,000 factory workers and employees, held at the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone in Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh Saturday. Cambodia exported products worth $7.23 billion during the January-April period of 2023, a year-on-year decrease of 4.9 percent from 7.6 billion dollars, Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Saturday. (Khmer Times)

MYANMAR

The Tokyo-based ASEAN-Japan Center for Trade, Investment and Tourism has funded Myanmar junta’s investment and tourism ministries, according to Justice For Myanmar. (Irrawaddy)

The Military Council said in its statement 25 May that the devastating cyclonic storm Mocha which hit Myanmar on 14 May damaged over 60,000 acres of farmland in five States and Regions and also left more than 500,000 livestock killed. (Mizzima)
