LAO PDR

More than 1.11 million foreign tourists visited Laos in the first four months of this year, according to figures from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism. The largest number of visitors came from Thailand with 430,979, followed by Vietnam (224,461) and China (223,350). (Vientiane Times)

The Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare hopes to provide job training and placements for at least 392,000 young people across the country in the coming year. The goal is to place more people in jobs, with the expectation that about 15,000 people will enter a profession. (Vientiane Times)

HCM City plans to offer a wide range of entertainment and educational activities until August 20 to create playgrounds for children during summer. The Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union of HCM City will host the Kids Fest 2023 at the Children’s Cultural House from June 2-4. (Viet Nam News)
