Cambodia has witnessed a significant rise in mobile payments as more people moved from cash-based transactions to digital options, the National Bank of Cambodia said. The number of registered e-wallet accounts increased to 20.2 million as of June this year, the report said. (Khmer Times)

LAO PDR

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone has issued an order to ensure more stringent management and protection of forests. The order is aimed at preventing encroachment on forest land and the widespread of destruction of forests through the indiscriminate felling of trees and burning, which has reached unacceptable levels.
