CAMBODIA

Children make up nearly 35% of Cambodia’s population, and 48.7% of these children (ages 0-17) live in multidimensional poverty. Children have the right to an education, but many schools in Cambodia are structurally and hygienically inadequate. Around 10% of Cambodian children do not attend school, and 45% of children ages 5-14 must work to support their families. (Khmer Times)

LAO PDR

Laos has sustained economic growth over the past two and a half years, which have achieved growth targets, despite ongoing challenges, and economic measures are continuing to gain momentum, the government has told the National Assembly. (Vientiane Times)

VIET NAM

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has asked concerned organisations to implement urgent solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. The effort aims to remove the European Commission’s “yellow card” warning. (Viet Nam News)
