CAMBODIA

Lt Gen Hun Manet said that Cambodia is open to businesses from all over world, while encouraging other sectors in all production chains to expand development opportunities. (Khmer Times)

The General Department of Immigration (GDI) of the Ministry of Interior has deported more than 100 foreigners of five different nationalities who were all determined to have been living and working in Cambodia illegally due to their lack of a visa or work permit. (Phnom Penh Post)

LAO PDR

A train loaded with 25 containers of fruits from Thailand and Laos on Saturday arrived at Mohan railway station of the China-Laos Railway, southwest China’s Yunnan Province. This is the first direct train for imported fruits to Chinese markets on the China-Laos railway, and also the first batch of imported fruits shipped all the way by rail to Mohan before being distributed across China. The United Nations has delayed a decision on who should represent Myanmar amid concern that Russia, which has become increasingly close to Myanmar’s coup leaders, could sabotage efforts to reach an international consensus on the crisis-torn country. (Al Jazeera)
