LAO PDR

The Department of Traffic under the Ministry of Public Security revealed a report that the country saw 6,440 road accidents in Laos in 2022. Of these, 4,892 people suffered minor injuries, 1,333 received serious injuries, and 947 people died. (Laotian Times)

MYANMAR

The prospects for peace in Myanmar, much less a return to democracy, seem dimmer than ever two years after the army seized power from the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi, experts say. (AP)

VIET NAM

The Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Long An has taken effective measures to eradicate poverty. It had only 6,234 poor households, or 1.3 per cent of the total number, as of the middle of last year, according to its Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. (Viet Nam News)
