The National Bank of Cambodia is looking into joining the RMB Cross-border Interbank Payment System to provide additional international payment options; facilitate and boost trade, investment, tourism between the two countries through yuan-denominated transactions; and to make management of the Chinese currency in the Kingdom’s international reserves easier. LAO PDR

The World Bank has approved financing of more than US$9.7 million (more than US$4.4 million in the form of a grant and US$5.2 million as a loan) to support 223 activities under the Lao PDR Global Partnership for Education III: Learning and Equity Acceleration Project in 2023. (Vientiane Times)
