Remittances from Cambodian migrant workers increased from $1.15 billion in 2021 to $1.25 billion in 2022 and are the third highest in the ASEAN as a share of national GDP after those of the Philippines and Vietnam, according to a new report. (Khmer Times)

LAO PDR

The Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare has achieved further success in the provision of healthcare services by strengthening health protection schemes under the National Social Protection Strategy. Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mrs Baykham Khattiya, reported on the ministry’s achievements to the National Assembly, noting that all Lao citizens have the same right to receive healthcare services regardless of their gender, age, ethnicity, race, religion or socio-economic status.
